On the last June 6^th, Dr. Marcelo Alcantara gave a lecture on Congreso Nacional SEPAR 2015 about Patient-ventilator asynchrony during noninvasive ventilation, diagnosis and management. The congress took place in the province Gran Canaria on Canary Islands. The SEPAR is a scientific society which has more than 3800 health professionals acting in the respiratory area and other professionals with common interests and it aims to promote scientific projects that bring advances for pulmonologists and thoracic surgeons.

After his talk, Dr. Marcelo took part in a discussion about mechanical ventilation with the participants Dr. Juan Carlos Vazquez and Dr. Pilar De Lucas Ramos, respectively representatives from Mexican Society of Pneumology and Thoracic Surgery (SMNyCT) and Spanish Society of Pneumology and Thoracic Surgery (SEPAR).
